Called, "a feast for the soul," Gathering in Gratitude is a beautiful, magical presentation of music, dance, visual art, poetry and drama honoring the natural world.
Inspired by the Haudenosaunee Thanksgiving Address, and with the encouragement of the late Mohawk chief Tekaronianeken, Jake Swamp, Gathering in Gratitude unites the hearts and minds of those present in the spirit of gratitude for our natural world. It is created each time completely anew by a multi-generational ensemble. Participants explore themes outdoors as well as indoors and work toward co-creating a gift that helps heal and transform reality.
Directed by Luz Elena Morey, a drama therapist and sound healer, these fundraising performances are offered Friday, Aug. 10, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Aug. 11, at 4 and 7 p.m.
Performances are a benefit for Project Feed the Thousands and Mahalo Art Center.
Seating is limited. Tickets are $40 for sponsors and $20 for volunteers who arrive early and leave later.
Please call if you are interested in coming.
