COMMUNITY INPUT NEEDED – PUBLIC SAFETY CONCERNS MEETING

The Pubic Safety Committee and the Putney Selectboard are hosting a Public Safety Concerns – Second Community Meeting on November 10, 2016, 6:30 p.m. at the Putney Fire Station.

Recently, the Town was faced with making an important and difficult decision regarding our policing contract. The Selectboard and the Public Safety Committee held several meetings and ultimately decided to sign a six month contract with the Windham County Sheriff’s Department for 20 hours a week of police coverage. We are currently exploring options, gathering data and talking to other towns. This is the second of two Community meetings we will be having. We look forward to hearing from you!!
