What type of police service do you want? What public safety concerns do you have?

Recently, the Town was faced with making an important and difficult decision regarding our policing contract. The Select Board and the Public Safety Committee held several meetings and ultimately decided to sign a six month contract with the Windham County Sheriff’s Department for 20 hours a week of police coverage. The first step in figuring out what to do after the six month contract is complete, is to hold a community meeting and get as much input as possible, this will help us make the best decision for the Town of Putney. We are currently exploring options, gathering data and talking to other towns. We look forward to hearing from you!!
