HeartSoulVoice performs Celtic, Shakespeare & More
Friends of Music at Guilford's annual Midwinter Musicale begins with a pre-concert supper at 6:00 p.m. offering hearty homemade soups, nibbles and noshes. The 7:00 p.m. concert features Boston's HeartSoulVoice duo. Janna Maria Fröhlich (voice, harp, piano) and Joy Grimes (violin/fiddle) offer original songs on themes of love, protest, and healing; songs from the plays of William Shakespeare and tunes popular in Elizabethan times; an improvised song based on "love lines" contributed by audience members; and a set of traditional and original Celtic songs and instrumentals. Guilford Community Church is just over a mile from Exit 1 off I-91 in Brattleboro, and is handicap accessible.
