“PINA” by Wim Wenders screening at Next Stage Arts
Next Stage Arts and the Vermont Perfomance Lab present a screening of "Pina" by Wim Wenders. Pina is a ground-breaking, feature-length dance film for Pina Bausch by Wim Wenders. Wenders takes the audience on a sensual, visually stunning journey of discovery into a new dimension: straight onto the stage with the legendary Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch ensemble, he follows the dancers out of the theatre into the city and the surrounding areas of Wuppertal – the place that for 35 years was the home and center for Pina Bausch’s creativity and the birth of her new art: dance theater. Co-hosted by Sara Coffey, Founder and Director of Vermont Performance Lab with Sharon Lehner, Director of Archives, Brooklyn Academy of Music and Archives Advisor to the Pina Bausch Foundation. $23 for Dinner and Film ticket: Including dinner at The Gleanery @ 5:30 pm, followed by the screening at Next Stage at 7:30 pm. Limited number of seats available for dinner. Reserve now by calling: 802-387-3052 There’s a $5 – $10 suggested donation at the door for those who only want to attend the screening.
