We are looking for our cat, Banjo. He is a neutered adult tuxedo cat (black with white paws and chest). He is very friendly and rather large-about 11 pounds. He currently has a small bald patch on his hind leg. He was last seen on Thursday. We live behind Town Hall, and he was last seen in the upper parking lot of Town Hall. He is very missed at home. Putney Foodshelf needs donations!

We’re scrambling to keep up with the current high need for supplemental food at the Putney Foodshelf. Numbers are up -- are there more hungry or are people just discovering us? Guess we‘ll need to start ordering more from our biggest supplier, the Vermont Foodbank. In the meantime, if anyone wants to donate, we are always looking for tunafish, peanutbutter, soups, beans, rice, pasta, spaghetti sauce -- just keep it healthy! If you wouldn‘t eat it, don’t donate it!

Donations may be dropped off at the Foodshelf located at the Putney Community Center (far side, ramp door) We have a donation bin if we are not there to receive your donation (leave us your name -- we’d love to thank you!)

If you are in need of supplemental food (these are tough times!) drop by any Tuesday 6-7pm or Saturday 9-10am. The only information we ask are numbers for reporting -- no names or no financial information asked. Everyone is welcome -- employed or not, on foodstamps or not, young or old.
