Snow Shoveling Services

Winter is almost here, and that means snow! If you need your walkway shoveled at all this winter, I will be there whenever it snows. I do walkways, roofs, and some driveways. I do own a snowblower, so if a job would need me to bring that equipment it would not be an issue. I will also salt your walkway for you if needed. I offer this service in Putney, and close by in Dummerston or Westminister West. If your interested please don't hesitate to call.

Movie night Monday Dec 10th 7pm

Dear friends - I would like to personally invite you to watch a fantasticly uplifting movie tonight at the Putney Library tonight at 7pm. Please join me and other Transition Putney members this snowy eve.

In Fixing the Future, host David Brancaccio, of public radioís Marketplace and NOW on PBS, visits people and organizations across America that are attempting a revolution: the reinvention of the American economy. By featuring communities using sustainable and innovative approaches to create jobs and build prosperity, Fixing the Future inspires hope and renewal in a people overwhelmed by economic collapse. The film highlights effective, local practices such as: local business alliances, community banking, time banking/hour exchange, worker cooperatives and local currencies.

Letís Fill The Shelves Weekend Rides

[posted for Bruce Hazelton at Hot Wheelz Cycle Studio]
Come ride this weekend to help support the Putney Foodshelf. This time of year, all of the folks at the Putney Foodshelf can use our help as they try to make sure everyone is well provided for during the holiday season. They will be upping their efforts over the next few weeks to see that no one in need goes without. On Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th, weíre hoping to fill the house, not only with riders, but with some great donations of food items as well.

The Foodshelf is in need of a variety of non-perishable items such as healthy canned goods. A general rule of thumb is to try to donate only stuff that you would eat yourself and that isnít out date.
