Front Porch Forum Now Free in Windham County

iPutney users and fans should be excited to learn that Front Porch Forum (FPF)is now available for free throughout Windham County (in fact statewide). FPF shares iPutney's goal of building local community and connections, but in a different way.

FPF members (it's free to sign up at http://www.FrontPorchForum.com) post messages to their local forum. These are collected into a digital newsletter and sent to all the neighborhood members through their Inbox. Because the service is moderated and real names accompany postings, the discussions remain civil, engaging, and relevant.

Easy Way to Help Putney Mountain Association

PMA annually hosts the "coffee table" at the VT Welcome Center on I-91. We provide goodies (baked goods, fruit, cheese, coffee, tea, etc.) to visitors and put out a jar for a free will offering. This year we're scheduled for Friday, October 11th - a prime travel day! We expect many visitors and are asking the community for food items to accommodate them. If you are so inclined, we'd very much appreciate it if you could bake some cookies, or donate fruit or other food items. Donations can be left with Emily at the Putney Food Coop between 10:00 and 3:00 on this Thursday, the 10th.

Thanks. All donations received at the Welcome Center are used towards our annual taxes and costs of printing, mailing, etc..
