Wildlife Tracking Program Wednesday November 14 7-9 pm at Putney Cares Barn

Patti Smith of the Brattleboro Environmental Education Center (BEEC) will give a wildlife tracking overview and discuss some advanced tracking techniques on Wednesday, November 14 at 7 p.m. at the Putney Cares Barn. The program is sponsored by the Putney Conservation Commission which is welcoming back last winter's trackers and inviting others to join its Wildlife Corridor Tracking Program.

Community Supper this Friday

The Putney Community Supper will be hosted by The Putney School on Friday, Jan. 9, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

They have a delicious meal planned of Baked Potatoes, Smoked Turkey Stew, Thai-style Vegetarian Stew, Mashed Putney School Butternut Squash, Cran-apple Compote, Putney Hearth Bread, and Sweet Butter, all topped off by Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cake. Cider & Coffee will also be served.

All are welcomed to join us, sharing good food with our friends and neighbors in this season of gratitude.
The supper is held at Next Stage Arts (former United Church of Putney) on Kimball Hill.

Luminous Landscapes at Putney Library

Cai explains her art making: "For the past decade, I have been living with the beauty of the Vermont landscape. My play with abstraction turned to a focus on the wide sky and the land in my ‘Earth and Sky’ series of landscapes. I feel myself melting into each picture as I did when I was in and out of my ‘Edge’ paintings. There is a feeling of the oneness of vast Nature. It is an ongoing prayer for peace on Earth.
