Halloween party for kids, potluck, and contradance at Pierce's Hall this Saturday

This Saturday the 27th is Pierce's Hall's annual Halloween Party and Costume Ball!

We'll start with the Halloween party for kids from 5:00 to 6:00, including such special treats as a treasure hunt, games, and not-too-scary songs with Annie Frelich (of the Annies) and Katie Bowen. It will be great fun for kids and families, and then lead right into a community potluck starting at 6:00 for diners of all ages.

For the contra dance that follows, we'll keep it spooky with haunting music from Amy Cann and the All Comers Band, playing classic contra tunes, along with creepy songs you know and love but never realized you could dance to.

Thanks from Putney Family Services

[posted for Patricia Field/PFS]

Editor of the Reformer:
On October 7, Putney Family Services participated in the annual Harvest Festival at the Putney School. Our food concession was very successful thanks to the many generous donations from the community. The chilly and gray October morning began with volunteers setting up the tent, delivering baked goods, and just general prep work. Others set up the huge grill and warmed it up to begin grilling hamburgs and hot dogs for the hungry festival-goers. The day started slow, but the aroma of the burgers and dogs soon drew many our way.
