The Putney Selectboard will hold a regular meeting Wednesday, November 1, 2006, at 6:00 PM. The Public is welcome to attend.

The Selectboard will hold a regular meeting October 18, 2006, at 5:30 PM, and the Brattleboro Area Community Land Trust Advisory Committee will hold a meeting October 18, 2006, at 7:00 PM. Both meetings will be held at the Putney Town Hall and the public is welcome to attend.

As of 10/13/06, there are 2 vacancies on the Zoning Board of Adjustment and 1 vacancy on the Planning Commission. If you are interested in any of these positions, please call Chris Ryan, Putney Town Manager, 387-5862 ext. 11, or stop by the Town Hall.

Community Input on Proposed Pavillion Needed!
The Putney Rec. League is proposing to construct a shade pavilion at the Putney Pool using donated materials and labor. The Selectboard would like to be sure pool patrons would appreciate such a project. The drawing below shows location and size.

Come and get involved! The Selectboard is currently forming a committee to explore the future of Town Hall's wonderful upstairs space. We are currently looking for volunteers to join those who have already expressed interest. At the forum held last spring, there was a lively discussion of the opportunities and possibilities for the public use of the second floor of town hall. It contains a beautiful theater with a raised stage, proscenium, wings, catwalk, and even small green rooms.
There is the large, main auditorium and also two smaller rooms. The Town Hall Comittee of last year commissioned a planning report and feasibility study, ably done by Bannister and Greenberg architects. Their report identified many challenges and physical changes to make the upstairs fully accessible and safer but did not get specific on plans for the spaces.

The deadline to make a formal grievance appointment is 4:00 PM on Tuesday, September 12, 2006.

The Selectboard will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday, September 6, 2006, 6:00 PM, at the Putney Town Hall. The public is welcome to attend.

The Town of Putney will be paving Kimball Hill on Thursday. The road should remain open during paving.
