Don't miss this huge Tag Sale fundraiser event organized by The Grammar School. All proceeds will go towards next years' 8th grade service learning trip to Ecuador. The students will travel to work on a large organic/sustainable farm that feeds over 50 impoverished families in neighboring villages. In addition to learning sustainable farming practices, students will also learn green building techniques while engaged in community projects. Come shop for great quality items such as clothing, dvd's, shoes, toys, books and much more.

The Real to Reel Women Film series is happy to present a showing of the film, “Julie & Julia,” at the Putney Public Library on Wednesday, May 29, starting at 7:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The Real to Reel Women Film series is a new project initiated by an informal group of Putney women. The purpose of the series is to show high-quality movies that are made by women and that present women in positive ways. Though women have been making movies for decades, the vast majority of movies produced and distributed by the major studios are made by men. As a result, the thousands of exceptional films that run the full gamut from comedy to powerful drama are rarely, if ever, seen by the public.

(The garden in front of the COOP) Our garden has lots of sunshine, free manure, free wood chips, sometimes free plants, and a good many rules. There is a great emphasis on well-weeded productive gardening, nicely maintained paths, community building, and fun. We have a 10 hour work requirement (5 hrs is required before Aug 1st) per plot.
Plots cost $25.00 with a $25.00 deposit. The deposit is refundable at the end of the season if the plot is cleared, raked flat and work hours have been completed.
We give priority in offering the plots to Putney residents. If you are interested in a plot, or want more information please contact the coordinator, Mary Head mhead3848@gmail.com 802 387 2144
