  I saw this DVD of Bob Dylan over the weekend. Highly recommended! Nearly 4 hours of pure Dylan, on 2 DVDs. If you lived through the 60’s, this film is for you!

Modern contra dances are usually done, on the West and East Coasts, to medleys of jigs and reels, chosen by the band.

 The Putney Contra & Square Dance will take place on Halloween weekend, Saturday, October 29th, at Pierce's Hall in Putney—Halloween costumes are encouraged!
This monthly dance is celebrated for its fine music and warm community atmosphere, where dancers of all ages and skill levels are welcome. No experience or partner is necessary. All dances will be taught.

  This Saturday Oct 22 at 9pm Simba will play a benefit for The Men's AIDS Project of Southern VT at the Evening Star Grange in Dummerston Center.
The event starts at 7pm but Simba won't start till 9pm. This event
benefits Gay Men with AIDS but all are invited to come, dance and
participate.
