PUTNEY LIBRARY RECEPTION FOR NEW LIBRARY DIRECTOR

The public is invited to a community reception for Emily Zervas, the new Library Director for the Putney Public Library on Friday, February 27th from 4 to 6 p.m. Emily began her new position in January.
Zervas comes to the Putney Library from the Rockingham Free Public Library where she was the Reference and Historical Collections Librarian for seven years. She also served as Interim Co-Director there for almost a year and successfully coordinated moving the entire library collection back into its newly renovated facility. With her strong technological skills, Zervas will be a great resource for library users looking for information and learning to use the various reading devises.
The Putney Public Library is a major gathering place for the whole community. During the day, neighbors take advantage of the fastest internet service in the Town, accessing it through the new public computers or their own computers. After school, the bus stops at the Library where the children can spend the afternoon doing their homework, reading or using the computers while waiting for their rides. Zervas plans to offer after school programs to tap into that youthful energy. She also oversees the numerous evening programs offered at the Library.
Come and give a warm welcome to the new Director! Light refreshments will be served by the Board of Trustees and other volunteers.
