Bad news! Someone vandalized the StoryWalk that the Putney Library installed in the school forest. The walks consist of laminated story book pages that were posted on stakes along the trail—all of the pages are missing and a pile of broken stakes were found. The StoryWalks belong to another library and the cost of replacing them is going to be quite significant—at least $200. The best we can hope for is some or all of the pages being recovered.
So we’re asking for the community’s help: If you find any of the laminated pages or stakes with heavy duty Velcro on them, please drop them by the Putney library or put them in or next to the library drop box after hours. They may still be somewhere in the forest. If you have any information about the StoryWalk please email Emily at putpub@svcable.net.
