In the final session, we will focus almost entirely on the poetry.
Please bring your own favorites to read out loud, as well as poems that
feel baffling or disturbing. (In my own experience there are plenty of
these.) We’ll turn our collective intelligence to reading and
understanding these poems together. I’m also interested in looking at
the connections between her spiritual experiences (as opposed to
religious beliefs) and her poetry, and what modern neuroscience is
learning about brain function and divine revelation.
