Located in Putney, Vermont and featured in Ken Burns’ Documentary The Address http://www.pbs.org/kenburns/the-address/home/ Greenwood School is a middle and high school boarding program for high-potential young men with learning differences such as dyslexia, attentional difficulties (ADD / ADHD), or executive functioning deficits. Greenwood offers a comprehensive, individualized remedial program, balanced with an emphasis on enrichment programs designed to awaken students’ hidden talents. Greenwood seeks an enthusiastic, reliable applicant to serve on its weekend team. Weekends at Greenwood are a great chance to get the students engaged in the many aspects that make our area so great – the outdoors, shopping trips, art exhibits, sporting events, and the list goes on. The weekend team member works directly with students and faculty from Friday evening at 5:30pm until Sunday evening at 5:30pm over multiple shifts.
Qualified candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills, experience working with adolescent boys 6-12th grade in either an educational, residential, or human service background. Working as a team is a must. This position is to serve each weekend approximately 28-30 hours between Friday-Sunday afternoon/evening. Weekend Team members must obtain a Type II Bus license endorsement prior to the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year.
