Putney Community Cares has launched a WalkSafe Putney initiative. This has involved providing reflective armbands at no cost to community members. As we have launched this program, it has become more and more clear that our community is eager to focus on pedestrian safety in larger ways! To that end, we connected with AARP-VT and Local Motion to conduct a Walk Audit on Friday, 10/24/25. They will come to our community, walk a route with us and discuss how to evaluate and create change in our community. We hope you can make it to this walk audit! And please spread the word. We are asking that people RSVP by emailing coordinator@putneycommunitycares.org, as we have to arrange for a light lunch for participants.
