2021 Putney Annual Town Meeting

The Putney Selectboard voted Wednesday night to hold the 2021 Annual Town Meeting by Australian ballot. Voting on all town articles will take place on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at the Putney Fire Station, 21 Carl Snyder Dr., Putney, VT. The polls will be open from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The Selectboard also voted to require the Putney Town Clerk to mail absentee ballots to all active legal Putney voters. It is anticipated that ballots will be mailed to voters on or about February 10, 2021. Voters are urged to go to their Vermont My Voter Page, https://mvp.vermont.gov/, or contact the Town Clerk to confirm their mailing address is correct.

A variety of officers and articles will appear on the ballot. Voters will be asked to choose a moderator, selectboard member, lister, cemetery commissioner, and trustees of the Putney Public Library. In addition, there are seven articles relating to town business. There are two articles relative to the future of the Windham Southeast School District. Finally, there are two advisory resolutions sponsored by citizen petitions concerning universal healthcare and climate change. The Town Report is expected to be mailed between February 16 and 19. There will be an Informational Meeting to be held by Zoom at 10:00 AM on February 27, 2021. A warning and agenda including remote access information will be issued a t a later date.
