A Night of True Stories at MSA

SAXTONS RIVER, Vt. – Local storytellers will share their life experiences in seven minutes each when
Main Street Arts presents A Night of True Stories, Saturday, Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m.
In the spirit of National Public Radio’s The Moth Radio Hour, friends and neighbors will entertain with tales of pathos, mirth, adventure, loss, fright and all the emotions in between. Stories are told live on stage without scripts, notes, props or accompaniment.
The event is a fundraiser for Main Street Arts in a cabaret setting with refreshments. Tickets are $16 in advance or $18 at the door.
Scheduled storytellers are Annie Guyon, Annesa Hartman, Celia Bohannon, Dempster Leech, Louise Hodson, Matt Peake, Michele Bos-Lun, Judy Yogman and Toby Lampert.
The Peabody Award-winning NPR show is now in its eighth year and airs on more than 200 stations nationwide.
“Storytelling, likely the oldest art, is revered and reinvigorated by this hour for everyday raconteurs,” wrote the Peabody judges in making the award.
