Antidote Books Grand Opening Event 8/26

Join us for a grand opening evening at Putney’s new independent bookstore Antidote Books.

Poetry readings by Bianca Stone, Ben Pease, and GennaRose Nethercott will commence at 7 p.m. Saturday, August 26.

Bianca Stone is a poet and visual artist. She is the author of the poetry collections Someone Else’s Wedding Vows (Tin House/Octopus Books, 2014), Poetry Comics from the Book of Hours (Pleiades Books, 2016), and the chapbooks I Want To Open The Mouth God Gave You, Beautiful Mutant (Factory Hollow Press, 2012), and I Saw The Devil With His Needlework (Argos Books, 2012). She is also a contributing artist/collaborator on a special illustrated edition of Anne Carson’s Antigonick from New Directions.

Ben Pease is a poet and visual artist. His first full-length collection of poems Chateau Wichman (Big Lucks Books, 2017) is an epic saga of rebellion and romance for today’s trying and exhausting digital times. Pease holds degrees from Emerson College and Columbia University. He is an editor of Monk Books and board member of the Ruth Stone Foundation.

GennaRose Nethercott is a poet, performer, and folklorist. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Offing, Rust & Moth, Cleaver, and PANK. She writes poems-to-order for passersby on a 1952 Hermes Rocket typewriter, a collection of which was released by Honeybee Press in 2015.
