Brightwater Tools is hiring a Part-Time Sales and Distribution Manager

Position Title: Nature Loo Sales and Distribution Manager
Term: 10 hours/week, Part-Time, with potential for growth
Summary: The focus of this position is to manage sales, import, and distribution of Nature Loo and associated products.

Brightwater Tools is a National Science Foundation-funded startup developing novel building-scale wastewater nutrient recovery systems. We are also distributors of imported companion products, including Nature Loo composting toilets and related accessories.

The Sales and Distribution Manager will oversee the creation and implementation of systems, sales strategies and growth of sales for Nature Loo products. The ideal individual will possess strong initiative and enthusiasm for composting toilets and regenerative sanitation, along with great listening skills and intuition for recognizing and meeting customers’ needs.

The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle including identifying prospective clients (and their needs), presenting solutions, and making sales. The successful Sales and Distribution Manager will feel comfortable reaching out to prospective customers, analyzing data and spreadsheets, presenting value, and maintaining an active sales pipeline while maintaining healthy inventory. The position will require the candidate to be consistently onboarding new business, closing sales, coordinating shipment and delivery, and adhering to the marketing plan.

Create overall systems for sales, inventory management, customer discovery, and order fulfillment
Create and maintain web store through Squarespace platform
Build relationships with customers and ensure their needs are met
Create and deploy a marketing campaign through social media and advertising using marketing materials provided by Nature Loo
Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Stay up-to-date with market trends, customer demographics, sales forecasts, and growth strategies
Build strong relationships with management at Nature Loo in Australia
Attend and present at various trade shows, events and festivals to introduce new products and sales opportunities and to promote the Nature Loo brand
Work with the CEO/COO/CFO to review and adjust the procurement schedule as needed to meet sales goals
Reports to the CEO

Hard working, enthusiastic self starter who is outgoing and thrives with challenges, and is results/goal oriented
Strong interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills, highly detail oriented
Excellent communication and listening skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, management and our distribution partner

Previous sales experience preferred
Proficient with email, VOIP, Quickbooks, Google Suite, spreadsheets and ability to learn, comprehend, and design new systems
Travel may be required to trade shows and festivals. Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record and reliable transportation with vehicle insurance in good standing

Our facility is located in Brattleboro, VT. On-site presence is required at least one day/week, but this position can be a hybrid of remote and on-site activities. Must be able to operate a pallet jack, and lift up to 62 lbs., which is the weight of the heaviest of the Nature Loo packages.

Compensation: Up to $25/hour depending on experience, as well as a SIMPLE 3% IRA match, Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays, and Workers Comp. Vehicle mileage reimbursement for travel to sales events and trade shows.
