Candidate Forums – Select Board and School Board

Town Meeting Day is upon us. Town Ballots will be mailed to voters in Putney, but you have to request your Windham Southeast School District Ballot by calling or emailing our Town Clerk, Jon Johnson, at Please consider voting absentee. In person voting is possible on March 1st.

What to look for in 2022!
-We will vote by Australian Ballot this year due to COVID – There will be no in person Town Meeting – Polling place is open on March 1st
-Consider voting absentee – early voting starts February 9th and ends in person on Tuesday, March 1st
-School District Ballot- Contested elections (three seats open and four candidates – David Wheeler has dropped from race)
-Town Ballot – Contested elections for Putney Select Board and multiple ballot questions this year:
-Expanding the Select Board
-Policing Policy and Human Rights
-Cannabis Retail
-Taxing Renewable Energy Solar Farms in Putney
