CD Release Concert to Benefit Food4Kids

Local Music for a Local Cause will be highlighted Saturday December 7, 7pm downstairs at Putney’s Next Stage Arts, with Vt. Timbre in concert.

With the release of their new album, Songs To Light the Way, Vt.Timbre- Amelia Struthers and Mike Mrowicki -invite you to find some calm from the chaos and take a break from the rushing waters of your busy schedule with the soothing music of their new CD.

And, the concert will be a benefit for the Food4Kids program at Putney Central School, with admission by donation and proceeds going to this worthy cause.

Vermont Timbre, the duo of Amelia Struthers and Mike Mrowicki brings simple, sweet harmonies and easy, rich musical backing to their original songs. For this show, they’ll be accompanied by local musical heroes, Julian McBrowne on bass and Derrik Jordan, multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire. .

The new album, Songs To Light the Way, is inspired by the green hills and gentle people of Vermont. The songs invite you on a journey into that home in Vermont, where we know each other, and make our own sunshine to get us through the cold winters.
The Vermont where, the spirit is always close at hand, through the connections of the land, the people and the arts.

Where the quiet inside, the place of “Temenos” a thin place between the inner and outer worlds, is right there as an oasis of calm, within the chaos in the everyday.
Where, for a little while, at least, life feels light and easy.
