Dancers young and old are invited to enjoy the fine music and warm community atmosphere of the East Putney Community Contra Dance at Pierce’s Hall on Saturday, September 27th. No experience or partner is necessary. All dances will be taught.
Steve Howland will be back calling for us again, with music by Craig Hollingsworth on accordion, Kevin Blanchard on whistles and mandolin, and Becky Hollingsworth on piano. Steve will teach a beginners’ session from 7:30 to 8:00, followed by dancing until about 10:30.
To reach Pierce’s Hall from Putney Village, go north on Rt. 5 for two miles. At the bottom of a long hill, turn right onto East Putney Falls Road. Go 1/2 mile, and the drive to the hall will be on your left, just after passing the sign for Pierce Road. The suggested donation is $7. For details call 802-387-5357.
