The featured topic will be the proposed Educational Governance and Funding Reforms passed by the Vermont House of Representatives.The House plan puts Kids First, Controls Costs and Listens to Local Voices. Based on testimony from thousands of Vermonters, this plan hears that Vermonts want affordable and quality schools without the massive top down consolidation the Governor proposes by forcing 119 current school districts into 5, with no real savings.
Among the many other concerns facing the Legislature are tax policy that may change how Second Homes are taxed as well as the highest earners in the state.
