Enchanted Halloween: Six Years of Fall Magic on Solar Hill

The Neighborhood Schoolhouse invites families to celebrate the magical side of the Halloween season for the sixth year in a row. The school will host its annual Enchanted Halloween event from 12 to 6 p.m. Sunday, October 16, on the school’s campus at 231 Western Avenue in Brattleboro.

The event features a Magical Mansion, which celebrates the fantasy and wonder of the Halloween season and is meant to delight kids of all ages. “It’s more Hogwarts and less Amityville,” explained Josh Burns, coordinator of the event. Other highlights include a bouncy house, storytelling, face painting, delicious homemade food, and plenty of other fun.

Proceeds from the event benefit the school’s scholarship fund, which many students at the school benefit from. “Our scholarship fund makes it possible for all students to experience our unique educational model, which blends a rich academic curriculum with social learning and genuine community,” said Alissa Bourque, principal of Neighborhood Schoolhouse.

Tickets are $5 for kids, $8 for adults, or $25 for a family pass. You can order tickets online by going to NeighborhoodSchoolhouse.com/Halloween. Proceeds from the day benefit the school’s scholarship fund.

Founded in 1980, The Neighborhood Schoolhouse is an independent, progressive school for children ages six weeks through twelve years. The school emphasizes hands-on learning and multi-age interaction and values social-emotional development as an integral part of its curriculum.
