Basic Glassblowing Techniques Workshop
Come spend a few hours with the amazing glass artists of Solinglass Studios. This session is all about the basic techniques of glassblowing. Turn molten glass on a pipe and use tools, heat, gravity, and air pressure to transform it into hollow vessels such as a cup or simple vase. Students should bring a water bottle and safety glasses (sunglasses or prescription glasses will be fine.) Cotton or wool is the best fabric to wear, closed toe, comfortable shoes and long sleeves are recommended. Feel free to bring a light snack. Glass items will be available for pickup the following Monday or can be shipped for an additional charge.
