Business of Writing workshop: Submit Your Work
One of the biggest questions for writers is how to get your work published. Whether you’re writing poetry, short stories, essays, a novel or memoir, there is a process for submitting your work for publication. This introductory workshop will cover identifying a market for your work (magazine, agent, publisher), submission guidelines, writing a query letter, and how to follow up. This is the fourth of four free workshops on business aspects of writing. These stand-alone workshops are designed for writers but some are also useful for musicians, artists, and other entrepreneurs. They are open to teens and adults. Come to one or all; no prior registration required. For more information: http://www.bmorrison.com/events/ Sponsored by the Friends of Brooks Memorial Library.
