In the Sounder Sleep System™ you are guided to meander in and out of sleep. Just as one learns reversible movement in a Feldenkrais class, here you are learning reversible sleep! As a result, a funny thing happens. Even though you’ve spent much of the day sleeping, you usually find that you sleep more deeply than ever during the nights following a retreat. It may seem paradoxical, but we’ve observed that we get our deepest, most revivifying sleep not when we’re dropping with exhaustion, but when we’re truly, deeply relaxed first.
