Downtown Putney has been a popular family destination for many years on Halloween! This year, the Putney selectboard and our area first responders are putting the safety of our kids first and closing a stretch of Kimball Hill from 5-8pm on Halloween night, October 31. Trick-or-treaters will be able to walk from the Putney Community Cares Safe House (at the top of Kimball Hill) to the Warming & Fun Zone (at Next Stage) without having to worry about oncoming traffic. Would you like to join us in the festivities and distribute candy? Come and set up on the Village Green and or on the street in front of the General Store. And don’t forget to stop by our area businesses while you are in town (particularly the Putney General Store, Basketville, Gleanery).
