The Brattleboro Women’s Chorus spring session will begin the last week of February, and all women age 10 and over are invited to join. The theme of the music this spring will be “The Road Home.” You need not read music to join, but rather have a desire to be a part of a community of other singers creating harmonies together.
The first rehearsals are Wednesday, February 27 from 6:30 – 8:30 at All Souls or Thursday, February 28 from 10:00 – noon at the Brattleboro Music Center. These are open rehearsals, and new singers are welcome to check out whether chorus is right for them without obligation.
Founder/director Becky Graber will be joined at a rehearsal by Moira Smiley whose song “The Little Road” is in the repertoire. Other songs for the spring include “I’m Gonna Walk It With You,” “The Road Home,” and “People Get Ready” by Curtis Mayfield.
The chorus rehearses weekly at the above times to prepare for concerts on Mother’s Day weekend, and performing in these is always optional.
The fee is $120 for the session, though there are family and student rates as well as financial aid.
