Learn to be your own bodyworker in order to relieve stress, heal back and hip pain, and live from your energetic center!
In this workshop, we focus primarily on the psoas muscle since this muscle is one of the major movement muscles in the body, and a place where stress, trauma, and fear is deeply held given the psoas’ relationship to the sympathetic nervous system. When the psoas is dissociated, this can lead to back, hip, and pelvic pain. Energetically, the psoas is linked with the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd chakras, making it a powerful energetic ally.
In this workshop we will slow down, sink in, and create more hydration, flow, and awareness through this vital part of the body through somatic movement, guided visualizations, and myofascia release with therapy balls.
This workshop will be beneficial for:
– Yoga practitioners of all levels and styles
– People with back, hip, or SI joint pain
– Those healing from chronic stress or trauma
This workshop will begin with an anatomy lesson of the psoas and then through somatic movement and the use of myofascia therapy balls, you will explore the area of the deep core. You will receive clear and ample instruction on how to access the deep core as a way to relieve pain and stress. And you’ll also have lots of time for intuitive playful exploration. The workshop will end with a guided relaxation.
