Join Next Stage Arts for our virtual welcome wagon – an evening getting to know two new families in the area. A link to the virtual meeting will be sent out to registered participants prior to the event.
April and Justin made the trek from Austin, TX, to Putney in August 2020, with their four-year-old daughter Harper and two rottweilers in tow. They are well versed in moving – April and Justin met and fell in love in Placencia, Belize, in 2011 and relocated there permanently until their daughter’s first birthday in 2017. The decision to move to Putney came with a desire to be closer to Justin’s New England family and April’s newfound love of Vermont (she was sold after spending a summer in Newfane during her M.Ed at Antioch of New England). In another life, Justin was a corporate and special event production manager in NYC. April holds a variety of positions including program director and adjunct instructor of a Trauma-Informed Specialist certification program for educators, education consultant, curriculum developer, and instructional coach. You can spot them at the Putney Public Library, perusing books at Antidote Books, eating delicious pastries outside of the Putney Co-op, and patiently waiting for their daughter Willow to join the chaos in March 2022. They are excited to make Putney their forever home and gain meaningful relationships and community along the way!
The Meet Your (New) Neighbor series is sponsored in part by a Vermont Community Foundation Spark Connecting Community Grant.
