Poetry Discussion Group
Join us on Saturday 5 October for the monthly Poetry Discussion Group, 12-2 p.m. at Brooks Memorial Library, Brattleboro. For October we are reading the poems of David Whyte. From the Poetry Foundation: "David Whyte was born and raised in Yorkshire; his mother was Irish and his father English. Whyte earned a degree in marine biology in Wales and for a time led naturalist tours and expeditions in the Galapagos Islands, the Andes, the Amazon region, and the Himalayas. Whyte’s poetry is known for its eclectic and spiritual bent." Copies of the poems are provided. Admission is free, and the discussion is open to all; no experience or preparation necessary. These casual discussions are a great way to increase your knowledge of and appreciation for poetry.
