Resting in the Heart: Restorative Yoga & Herbs for the Heart Chakra
Nourish your energetic and physical heart center with restful restorative yoga and herbal medicine. The heart chakra, called "Anahata" meaning "unstruck" in Sanskrit, is the energetic center that is the bridge between the lower and upper chakras, between heaven and earth. It is the center of love and compassion, and also holds our emotional grief and pain. The heart chakra corresponds with the physical heart, and working to relax and heal the physical heart is a wonderful way to access and relax the whole nervous system. Since we sense, perceive, and take in so much though the heart, it is an important center to tend to. Herbs and plant spirit medicine provide a beautiful doorway towards meditating with and healing both the physical and energetic heart. Combined with restorative yoga for deep integration and rest, this workshop will leave you feeling centered in your heart, relaxed, and revitalized. This workshop is for folks who are looking for ways to deepen their self care practices and to nourish their heart chakras. Comfort in getting up and down from the floor may be important for a group restorative workshop. If you have any major heart conditions, you may want to check in with your doctor before taking the workshop. Please bring your own tea mug, and a journal if you'd like to take notes. Tea blends and tinctures will be available for purchase, so please bring cash if you'd like to purchase any herbs to take home.
