Toastmasters practice public speaking
While presenting speeches, reports and participating in public speaking exercises, member of the BrattleMasters club will attempt to incorporate the theme of "The Animals in our Lives." Local Toastmaster Annamarie Pluhar of Dummerston will be the emcee for the meeting. The public is welcome to visit, watch and to participate in a speaking off-the-cuff exercise, if they wish. Near the end of the meeting will be a report from the "ah" counter who tracks every person's filler words like ah, um, er, so, and, andah, andum, for example. Plus, an assigned timer will be throwing light switches for the entire meeting - green when a person reaches their minimum time, yellow for the intermediate time, and red for the maximum time. The meeting will include a break with free refreshments. For directions or more information, go to https://brattleboro.toastmastersclubs.org.
