Free parenting education classes (children ages 9-19) being offered throughout Windham County.

Are you a parent or caregiver of an older youth or teen? You are invited to visit a new website www.WindhamParentingEd.org for free upcoming parenting classes being provided in Windham County through the school year. While visiting the website, don’t forget to sign up for email updates to stay informed of future class dates and locations.

Currently the classes being offered are Guiding Good Choices (4th to 8th grade) and Parenting Teens Wisely (10 to 19 years old) for parents and caregivers FREE of cost.

Guiding Good Choices is an interactive 5 session course (2 hour long sessions) for parents and caregivers of 4th through 8th grade children. The course provides tools and strategies to meet the challenges of guiding your child through adolescents including setting set clear guidelines controlling and expressing anger constructively, and preparing kids with “refusal” skills.

Parenting Teens Wisely is a three hour workshop providing parents and caregivers of children who are 10 to 19 years old. Learn how to set boundaries and expectations; discover new ways to handle conflict; improve and strengthen family communication; teach your kids how to make healthy choices.
