Free Storyteller Program and Book Give Away in Putney

Storyteller Marv Klassen-Landis will be coming to Putney for an amazing children’s program courtesy of the Children’s Literacy Foundation’s Summer Readers Grant. CLiF presenters tell stories, read aloud from books, and share their love of words, reading, and writing. Every child who participates chooses two books to keep from a wide selection of brand-new children’s books. The event will be presented in the Putney Central School Gym on Monday, July 29th at 1pm. Participants should expect the event to last about 45 minutes and be great for all ages.
This event is presented as part of Putney Library’s Summer Reading Program, a self-paced non-competitive reading program that aims to keep kids and families reading through the summer. This year’s Summer Reading theme is A Universe of Stories and we’ve been busy exploring outer space with free programs for kids and families Wednesdays and Fridays in July. See the full schedule at: putneylibrary.org or pick up a printed copy at the Putney Library.
Putney Public Library is located at 55 Main St. in Putney, VT. All of our events are free and open to the public.
