Green-Up Day is this Saturday, May 6. As has happened in past years, a town truck will be parked between the Town Hall and Our Lady of Mercy. Green-Up bags will be available there. Please take only as many as you need. New this year at the truck and bag pick-up site will be a sign-up sheet that I ask you write your name on. This will help the coordinators in Montpelier get an accurate picture of how many volunteers come out. The truck will remain in the spot through Sunday for those unable to work on Saturday. Please do everything you can to guard against ticks. If you find syringes or something you suspect to be toxic waste, do not touch. Call me at 387-5402 and I will have the matter addressed. Needing attention again this year is the areas surrounding the recycling roll-offs near the fire station. I will be doing some of that work but will appreciate any help offered.
