Halloween Road Closure & Candy Drive!

For the second year, Kimball Hill in Putney will be closed to traffic on Halloween! Once again, the town and our area first responders are putting the safety of our kids first and closing a stretch of Kimball Hill from 5-8pm on Halloween night

Trick-or-treaters will be able to run freely up and down Kimball Hill! And if you don’t live on Kimball Hill but want to set up a booth to distribute candy, you are more than welcome – there are other opportunities for fun as well. There will be a safe house at Putney Community Cares (with story time, cider and donuts), and a warming & fun zone at Next Stage (with games put on by Landmark College and hopefully a little bit of music!).  Most of the festivities will be between 5-7pm, and the road will open back up at 8pm – see you in Putney on Halloween night!

We are asking Putney families to donate candy that will be distributed to houses on Kimball Hill  – those houses bear the biggest burden of trick-or-treating!  For those who can, please donate an unopened bag of individually wrapped candy!  You can bring your donation to the Putney Central School office, Putney Co-op or the Putney Public Library by Tuesday, October 29, 2019

Do you live on Kimball Hill?  Let us know so we can get the candy to you! And we’d love to hear your thoughts on how to make future Halloweens even more successful!
