Help with New School Realities from Experienced Homeschoolers–9/29 via Zoom!

Does your school year look VERY different this year? You’re not alone, and experienced home schooling parents are here to offer support.

The Putney Public Library will host a virtual panel Q&A session on homeschooling on Tuesday, September 29 at 7:00pm.

This panel will include local, experienced homeschool parents. Questions can be sent ahead of the discussion to Emily Zervas at emily@putneylibrary.org or submitted during the panel discussion.

Potential topics of discussion include:

How to choose the right learn at home method for your child and do you need a curriculum

Home schooling multi-age siblings

Balancing work and home schooling

Navigating Vermont Home Study requirements

Local resources for homeschoolers

This introductory q&a panel will potentially lead to future, targeted discussions with a wide array of local homeschool parents serving as panelists.

Panelists for the September 29th Q&A include Janice Leary-Jones who homeschools her three children, ages 15, 12 and 6, in Saxtons River; Trish Roberts who homeschools her two children, ages 10 and 8, in Westminster West; Amber Paris who homeschools her three children, ages 14, 11 and 6, in Putney.

The discussion will be moderated by Library director, Emily Zervas and Amber Paris. Please email Emily for the link: emily@putneylibrary.org or subscribe to our newsletter: https://putneylibrary.org/sign-up-for-our-email-newsletter/
