ISO – shepherd willing to commute

My husband and I are interested in coming up with a creative solution to a problem: we want to move on from shepherding, yet still want to maintain animals on our property. We’d like to connect with somebody who will take on management of our current flock (12 Dorper* ewes, ranging in age from 5 to 1), with full use of the barn (including a fowl coop), all fencing and other supplies. There is enough land available to expand a bit, and we’d be willing to give up a very fertile garden patch (with water system from the pond) that’s right next to the barn). We have more than broken even on the meat while also filling our freezer with lamb annually, so this could be lucrative for the right person.

The actual details of the arrangement will vary depending on individual circumstance, but we’re interested in negotiating the details fairly to suit everyone. Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks!
