Landmark College Business Club Presents: “All the Queen’s Horses” Monday, 10/23 7:00

All of us have deep and dark secrets. For some, we may have such deep and dark secrets that they are ingrained indelibly on our psyche. The same is true for small towns. Ever wonder, if you lived in a small town, what really goes on there? It may be small and seem like a stagnant town. That doesn’t mean that secrets aren’t lurking in the shadows.
If this interests you, then you might be interested in attending the Business Club’s screening of “All the Queen’s Horses.” This film is a documentary about Rita Crundwell, a small-town treasurer who stole $53 million from the town over the span of 20 years during her employment with Dixon, Illinois. How could she cover up such a scam? That might be the exact question we ask ourselves.
To find out the answers, come to the EAB auditorium on Monday, October 23, at 7 p.m. to see the movie. The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the filmmaker via Skype. As filmmaker Kelly Pope says, “If fraud of this magnitude is happening in Dixon, it can happen anywhere… Embezzlement is a 3.7 trillion-dollar problem worldwide.”
Small town. Big fraud. Worldwide problem. Come see “All the Queen’s Horses” on Monday, October 23, at 7 p.m. to learn how this “cancer of City Hall” affects all Americans.
