Landmark College – Coronavirus & COVID-19

Dear Residents of the Town of Putney:

For the past several weeks, the Landmark College Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) has been monitoring rapidly evolving Coronavirus developments and meeting to determine the best course of action the College can take to manage this situation for our campus and surrounding community. Through regular communications, our goal is to provide the most current guidance and updates for this community.

As of today, there are no known cases of the Coronavirus on campus and nobody is being monitored.

We at the College have made the decision to extend the duration of our previously-scheduled week-long Spring Break to two weeks. Spring Break begins at the end of classes this Friday, March 13th and will continue for two weeks; ending Sunday, March 29, 2020.

This decision to extend Spring Break by an additional week has been made in the interest of campus and community safety and to allow our faculty time to develop the process to deliver academic courses online if that scenario becomes necessary. Because of our unique curricular model, moving courses to an online platform requires care and focus.

Students who feel they should not travel home for Spring Break may remain on campus during the extended Spring Break.

We expect that most students who travel home for Spring Break will remain home for the extended week as well. Students who cannot change their travel plans after Spring Break and need to return to campus during the week of March 22-29 will be allowed to do so.

All students who travel away from campus during Spring Break will not be allowed to return to campus until they register with the College and complete a health screening on their immediate arrival to campus.
