Landmark College – Update on Coronavirus

Dear Residents of the Town of Putney:

The Landmark College Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) continues to monitor rapidly evolving coronavirus developments. The CIRT has been meeting daily to determine the best course of action the College can take to manage this situation for our campus and surrounding community. Through regular communications, our goal is to provide the most current guidance and updates for this community.

As of today, there are no known cases of the coronavirus on campus and nobody is being monitored.

We at the College have now made the decision to extend the duration of time that students who left campus for Spring Break last weekend remain away from campus for a total of five weeks. (Landmark College administration reserves the right to further extend the time students will remain away from campus.) As you know, a small number of students have remained on campus throughout Spring Break. These students will remain on campus.

For those Landmark College students who are not currently living on campus, the earliest they will be admitted back to campus will be April 18, 2020. (The College will consider some exceptions to this date only if a student shows a hardship and undergoes a health screening to ensure the safety of all community members.) All students will be required to register their return date and time with College officials and then be required to complete a health screening upon their immediate arrival to campus.

Spring Semester 2020 academic courses will resume on-line beginning Monday, March 30, 2020. Landmark College is committed to completing the academic semester and continuing to provide our unique curricular model to our students.

For the time being, we ask our community neighbors in Putney and other towns to avoid visiting our campus. We will inform the local community when we can, once again, welcome local visitors. This said, community residents are encouraged to visit the Landmark College webpage with information on this issue using this link: https://www.landmark.edu/student-life/health-counseling-wellness/covid-19

The Landmark Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) is continually monitoring coronavirus and COVID-19 developments and is available to answer any questions or concerns you have.
