Palestinian-American poet Naomi Shihab Nye comes to Yellow Barn together with musicians Daniel Chong (violin), Jessica Bodner (viola), and Daniel Anastasio (piano) for a performance of music and poetry in conversation. Blending moments of reflection with bursts of playfulness, their collaboration seeks to reveal a new perspective on the emotional core of each piece—musical and poetic—through thoughtful juxtaposition. This 90-minute program is interwoven with readings by Nye, both in response to pieces and as part of the ensemble. Following their performance, the artists will lead an open conversation with the audience. January 31st in the Big Barn at 3pm. Admission is free. Tickets can be reserved in advance at www.yellowbarn.org or (802) 387-6637.
