Next Stage Arts Project presents Crocodile River Music on Saturday, July 25

Next Stage Arts Project presents a socially-distanced lawn concert by African music/dance ensemble Crocodile River Music on Saturday, July 25 at 6:30 pm at The Putney Inn in Putney, VT. Bring lawn chairs or blankets for outdoor seating in distanced pods on the lawn behind the Inn, and face masks to wear whenever you leave your pod. Rain date for the concert is Sunday, July 26.

African rhythms, history, and culture merge into an evening of movement, cultural exploration, and joy. Internationally-recognized, the group consists of members from Mali, Senegal, Ghana, and the US. The group’s musical director, Balla Kouyaté, is a National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) National Heritage Fellow, performing at the Kennedy Center, Library of Congress and The White House, and has also been a featured performer in Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Ensemble.
