Open Enrollment Begins Nov. 1 for Vermont Health Connect

The Vermont Health Connect Open Enrollment Period is almost here! If you don’t get your insurance through an employer, it is worth exploring the plans on Vermont Health Connect. Most Vermonters qualify for help paying premiums. For example: you may qualify for lower costs if you are a household of one person with an annual income up to $118,000, or a household of four people with an annual income up to $333,000. Families can get thousands of dollars in assistance to purchase a plan with a lower premium and out-of-pocket costs. If you have been denied in the past, it is worth looking again this year.

Eligible Vermonters can sign up for a health insurance plan or change their existing plan through Vermont Health Connect from November 1 – December 15th, 2022, for a January 1 start date. If you sign up after December 15th, you will have a February 1, 2023, start date. Open Enrollment closes this year on January 15th.

The Office of the Health Care Advocate (HCA) is here to help answer your questions! The HCA is a free resource available to help all Vermonters resolve their health care problems. Call 1-800-917-7787 or email to speak with a Health Care Advocate or visit us on the web at
