Poet Michael Fleming reads from and discusses his new poetry collection, Bags and Tools, at Next Stage Arts on Friday, April 22nd at 7:00 p.m.

Next Stage Arts and The Sundog Poetry Center announce the book launch for Michael Fleming’s new poetry collection, Bags and Tools, published in collaboration with Green Writers Press. The manuscript was selected as the winner of the 2021 Sundog Poetry Book Award by Vievee Francis.

The event takes place on Earth Day, April 22, at 7pm at Next Stage Arts in Putney, Vermont. Suggested donation $10. Books will be available for purchase at the event, as well at the Sundog Poetry bookshop online, https://www.sundogpoetry.org/shop

About the poet: Michael Fleming was born in San Francisco, raised in Wyoming, and has lived and learned and worked all around the world, from Thailand, England, and Swaziland to Berkeley, New York City, and now Brattleboro, Vermont. He’s been a teacher, a grad student, a carpenter, and always a writer; for the past fifteen years he has edited literary anthologies for W. W. Norton.
